Gizmos

Gizmos, gadgets, and websites are a few of the top things every college student needs to survive their college years. While you’re packing for your first fall day of college, go ahead and throw in a few of the gadgets below to help you get through the year and the years to come.

A Note-Taking App

It’s been a long, long time since all you could do was write as fast as you could in your notebook trying to keep up with the professor’s lecture. Instead, why not use a notes app to be able to take notes anywhere at any time, effortlessly, and be able to keep them organized and easy to find.

A Good Quality Laptop

Everyone should own a laptop, but you should especially own one when you’re a college student. From writing essays to being able to research on the internet, a laptop is a must-have for any college student. Make sure that you do your research well, however, to determine that the laptop you choose is capable of handling the wear and tear you’ll put on it.

A Swivel Charger

You’re always going to be in need of extra plugs, and surge protection can save everything from your cell phone to that expensive laptop if your dorm has a power surge or a bad storm comes through. Choose one that’s small enough to drop into your purse or tote bag, as you’ll be carrying enough already. The swivel makes it possible for you to take it and plug it in about anywhere.

A Kindle E-Reader

Do you hate carrying around all those heavy books? If you’re the type that doesn’t care how you get your reading done, as long as it’s done, then you might want to check into a Kindle e-reader. They’re light, you can get some textbooks on them and can always find books to read for fun as well. It’s also small enough that it can fit in your tote or backpack with ease, and a whole lot lighter to boot.

A Coffee Maker

A coffee maker is the perfect companion for any college student who is going to be having late nights, early mornings, and long study sessions. Just make sure you check your college’s policy and rules on coffee makers in the dorms before you buy one because every college has different rules.

Amazon Dash Buttons

You’re apt to find a product you love and want to buy more of it every time it runs out. You can do that easily by investing in a few Amazon dash buttons. From Tide to Hefty garbage bags and from snacks to Clorox wipes, there are plenty of Amazon dash buttons to go around. Simply order yours, set it up and push the button to order refills before your current batch runs out. Dash buttons will make your college life easier, especially if you live off-campus, and tend to forget you’re out of things until you need them.

Noise Canceling Headphones

One of the most important items on the list is noise-canceling headphones. There are going to be times when you need to cram for a test and the dorm room or apartment next door is filled with rowdy college students who don’t have a test the next day. You’ll want to be able to put on your noise-canceling headphones, listen to some music, and cram until you know the material.

These are just a few of the gizmos and gadgets that will make your life easier as a college student. From a good cofee maker to a note-taking app, all of these are designed to get you through college without a whole lot of undue stress.
